Job Responsibilities:

1. Prepare hot and cold foods for retail sales, including slicing fruits, vegetables, desserts, and meats.
2. Check and document food temperatures regularly; notify supervisors of any out-of-compliance issues.
3. Monitor and document temperatures of freezers, refrigerators, dishwashers, and heating units.
4. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of refrigeration units, complying with food safety standards.
5. Requisition, transport, and replenish foods and supplies in the café.
6. Inspect items for integrity, rotate stock, and dispose of outdated or substandard products.
7. Properly wrap, label, and date food items.
8. Portion, package, and stock cold food items; clean refrigerated display cases.
9. Prepare beverages like coffee, juice, and smoothies; clean beverage machines and areas.
10. Maintain a sanitary work environment, including the café and equipment.
11. Push carts, racks, and dish bins as needed.
12. Assist in cooking at grills, fryers, or sandwich stations if required.
13. Deep clean refrigerators, countertops, cupboards, and seating areas regularly.
14. Use standardized recipes and ingredients for food preparation.
15. Assist in other areas as requested.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read, write, perform calculations, and prepare reports.
• Experience in food service preferred.
• Proof of Mandatory Reporter abuse training within three months of hire.
