Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a dedicated Dishwasher for UTMB HEALTH – UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS MEDICAL BRANCH in Galveston, TX. This full-time role assists kitchen and facility operations by keeping food production and service areas clean, organized, and sanitary.

You will handle dishwashing, surface cleaning, and basic setup/breakdown tasks as needed across varying shift schedules. Responsibilities include maintaining sanitation, stocking supplies, and safe handling of equipment.

Qualifications

• Sanitation procedures knowledge, including basic concepts of food safety.
• No related work experience required.

Responsibilities

• Washes dishes by hand or uses a dishwashing machine.
• Cleans and sanitizes worktables, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks.
• Sweeps, mops, cleans and vacuums floors.
• Removes trash and garbage to designated areas.
• Cleans equipment with chemicals to meet sanitary standards.
• Restocks supplies such as soap and paper towels.
• Attends scheduled shifts on time and supports other duties as needed.
