Job summary

P.F. Chang's in Kentucky is hiring a Dishwasher to maintain a safe, sanitized dishwashing area for staff and guests. You will wash and sanitize all dishes, utensils, pots and pans, and keep the dish room clean and organized.

The role requires handling temperatures in the kitchen, learning proper chemical usage, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment. Training and opportunities for advancement are provided; full/part-time positions available.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Excellent customer service skills and etiquette.
• Must possess a current Food Handler's Card, where applicable.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with team members.
• Learns about all chemicals used and how to use them properly.
• Ability to work in warm to very warm kitchen temperatures.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Operates an industrial dishwasher.
• Wash dishes, sweep/mop floors, clean and maintain equipment, sanitize utensils and maintain all areas of the restaurant.
• Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment or utensils in clean and orderly conditions.
• Clean food preparation areas, facilities or equipment.
• Execute proper sanitation practices and safety procedures.
• Place clean dishes, utensils or cooking equipment in storage areas.
• Empty and clean all trash receptacles.
• Provide assistance to prep cook and other kitchen staff during peak times.
• Load or unload trucks that deliver or pick up food or supplies.
• Perform opening, closing and side work.
• Clean up spills or broken glassware immediately.
