Job summary

P.F. Chang's in Newport News is hiring dishwashers for full-time or part-time work. The Dishwasher keeps a safe, sanitized area for staff and guests, washing and sanitizing all plate ware, drink ware, utensils, pots, pans, and cooking equipment while keeping the dish room clean and organized.

Job duties include operating an industrial dishwasher, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting kitchen staff during peak times. The role requires 18+ and a Food Handler's Card where required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Excellent customer service skills and etiquette.
• Must possess a current Food Handler's Card, where applicable.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with team members.

Responsibilities

• Operates an industrial dishwasher.
• Wash dishes, sweep/mop floors, clean and maintain equipment, sanitize utensils and maintain all areas of the restaurant.
• Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment or utensils in clean and orderly conditions.
• Clean food preparation areas, facilities or equipment.
• Execute proper sanitation practices and safety procedures.
• Place clean dishes, utensils or cooking equipment in storage areas.
• Empty and clean all trash receptacles.
• Provide assistance to prep cook and other kitchen staff as needed.
• Load or unload trucks that deliver or pick up food or supplies.
• Perform opening, closing and side work.
