Job summary

Kemuri Tatsu-Ya in Austin, TX is seeking a dedicated Dishwasher to keep dishware, utensils and equipment clean and sanitary. You’ll support opening and closing procedures, set up your station for service, and follow safety protocols to maintain a smooth kitchen flow.

Responsibilities include washing, sanitizing, and organizing items, reporting equipment issues, and assisting during busy periods to help the kitchen run efficiently.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Valid food handlers certificate.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lift 25-50 lbs.
• Prolonged periods of standing and navigating the kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with opening and closing procedures for smooth operations.
• Prepare and set up your station to ensure it’s ready for service.
• Adhere to safety protocols for handling dishes and chemicals to maintain a safe and sanitary environment. At the start of your shift, set up clean trash cans and ensure proper waste disposal at the end of your shift.
• Maintain open and effective communication with management about any issues or needs.
• Ensure all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and properly organized.
• In addition to washing dishes, the dishwasher assists with sanitizing kitchen tools, preparing ingredients, maintaining cleanliness in the dishwashing area, reporting equipment issues, and supporting the kitchen staff during busy periods.
