Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia and the CSRA is seeking a dedicated individual to become a ‘work’ instructor, teaching others through personal work ethic. Responsibilities include washing and storing kitchen equipment and maintaining cleanliness in the dish pit area.

Qualifications include exceptional organizational skills, prior dishwashing experience, and the ability to support team excellence. A High School diploma or equivalent is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Be an instructor in the subject of “work” to all who come to Goodwill for training or job placement assistance. In that work ethic is more “caught than taught”, you will teach others through your own work ethic and passion for quality.
• Washes and stores properly all dishes, eating utensils, pots, pans, bakeware, and other equipment for the department.
• Maintains the dish pit area and dish machine in a sanitary, safe, and efficient manner.

Working Conditions

The needs of the hospitality department dictate the ability to work a flexible schedule to coincide with the needs of various events.

Physical Demands

Must be able to stand for long periods; must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds on a repetitive basis. Frequent bending, lifting, stooping, and carrying of equipment, bus boxes, trays, and other objects. Ability to work in hot, damp environments.
