Lighthouse at Chico Assisted Living in Chico, CA is seeking a dependable Dishwasher/Busser to support our dining team and create a clean, welcoming environment for our residents. In this dual-role, you will maintain kitchen sanitation by washing dishes and equipment, while also assisting in the dining room by clearing tables and setting up for meal service.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a dishwasher, busser, or dietary aide preferred, but willing to train reliable candidates.
• Ability to work standing up for extended periods and lift up to 35-50 lbs.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Warm, respectful demeanor with patience and empathy toward senior residents.
• Reliable attendance and team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to thoroughly clean and sanitize plates, glassware, silverware, and kitchen utensils.
• Scrape, wash, and store heavy cookware, pots, and pans.
• Promptly clear, wipe down, and reset dining room tables between resident meal shifts.
• Transport dirty dishes, trays, and carts efficiently from the dining area to the dish room.
• Maintain high standards of kitchen and dining room sanitation, including sweeping, mopping, emptying trash, and restocking clean service items.
• Assist the culinary staff with basic setup and teardown for special resident events or daily meal services.
• Adhere to all food safety, infection control, and OSHA guidelines.
