Job summary

Lighthouse at Chico Assisted Living in Chico, CA is hiring a friendly Dishwasher/Busser to support dining services and maintain a clean, welcoming environment for residents.

Shifts run 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with opportunities for growth and reliable schedule. You will wash dishes, assist in dining room setup, clear tables, and help keep kitchen and dining areas spotless while respecting food safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Prior dishwashing or dining room experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 35–50 lbs.
• Cleanliness and hygiene standards are essential.
• Warm, respectful demeanor toward seniors.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to thoroughly clean and sanitize plates, glassware, silverware, and kitchen utensils.
• Scrape, wash, and store heavy cookware, pots, and pans.
• Promptly clear, wipe down, and reset dining room tables between resident meal shifts.
• Transport dirty dishes, trays, and carts efficiently from the dining area to the dish room.
• Maintain high standards of kitchen and dining room sanitation, including sweeping, mopping, emptying trash, and restocking clean service items.
• Assist the culinary staff with basic setup and teardown for special resident events or daily meal services.
• Adhere to all food safety, infection control, and OSHA guidelines.
