Job summary

South Port Square in Port Charlotte, a 40-acre campus, is seeking a friendly Utility Worker/Dishwasher to support our dining services. You’ll perform dish and pot washing, general cleaning, and setup, ensuring a clean and sanitary kitchen for residents and staff.

This is a full-time, on-site role with a welcoming team and opportunities for daily pay and benefits. Ideal candidates are 18+, have experience with dishwashing equipment, and communicate well with residents and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Experience setting up and operating dishwashing equipment.
• Team players!
• Can generate a warm, friendly, and caring manner on first impression.
• Can communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and visitors.
• Maintain the highest level of confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Dish and pot washing, general cleaning duties, and storing food and non-food supplies.
• Set up the dish and pot washing area.
• Wash pots, dishes, and utensils.
• Distribute and store clean pots, dishes, and utensils.
• Clean and sanitize production equipment, work surfaces and kitchen according to cleaning schedules and procedures.
• Empty trash containers as required.
• Maintain standards for personal appearance and cleanliness.
• Maintain safe and sanitary conditions.
• Attend in-service training and education sessions as assigned.
• Perform specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
