Job summary

Trapper's Sushi North Bend Inc in North Bend, WA is seeking a Dishwasher to maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchenware, utensils, and surfaces in accordance with food safety regulations and company standards. You will support a fast-paced kitchen and help ensure a safe dining environment for guests and team.

Responsibilities include loading and unloading dishwashers, hand washing larger items, stocking cleaned wares, following safety procedures, and working flexible hours including

Qualifications

• Must have a Food Handler's Card or be willing to obtain within the first 14 days of employment.
• Prior dishwashing or kitchen experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs. during an 8+ hour shift.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Collect used kitchenware, utensils, and dishes from dining and kitchen areas in a timely manner.
• Load, operate, and unload dishwashing machines safely and efficiently.
• Wash large or delicate items by hand as needed (e.g., rice pots, oversized cookware, specialty glassware).
• Ensure clean dishes, utensils, and kitchen tools are properly sanitized, organized, and stocked.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify a supervisor when stock is low.
• Inspect and report issues with dishwashing equipment or kitchen sanitation concerns.
• Remove garbage, recyclables, and compost according to company procedures and OSHA standards.
• Clean and sanitize designated kitchen areas, storage spaces, and restrooms per OSHA and health guidelines.
• Follow all food safety, health, and sanitation procedures, including chemical handling and PPE use.
• Support kitchen staff during peak service times by anticipating needs and communicating proactively.

What You’ll Do

Requirements

What You Bring to the Table

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. throughout an 8+ hour shift
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to heat, steam, and wet conditions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Food Handler's Card required (or willing to obtain within first 14 days of employment)
• Prior dishwashing or kitchen experience preferred but not required
