Job description

Position Summary

Ensure all service/kitchen wares are clean and sanitized. Interact with fellow team members and supervisors in a polite and courteous manner to ensure gracious hospitality.

Essential Functions of the Position Include, But Are Not Limited To:
  1. Anticipate and accommodate the needs of all employees.
  2. Aide in cleaning inside and outside the venue.
  3. Proper storage and removal of garbage and soiled linens.
  4. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the dish station, kitchen, and the entire venue.
  5. Follow supervisor’s instructions, communicate with, and support co-workers while being a team player.
  6. Possess in-depth knowledge of the dish machine and proper usage of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and supplies.
  7. Have general knowledge of the venue.
  8. Comply with Department of Health and company sanitation standards.
  9. Communicate product needs to the chefs and/or purchaser.
  10. Properly set up the dish station and perform opening/closing procedures as directed by management, including:
    1. Stock stations with prescribed supplies.
    2. Maintain and clean kitchen equipment.
    3. Wipe down and sanitize stations.
    4. Perform opening side-work as prescribed.
    5. Perform closing side-work as prescribed.
  11. Report all breakage and damage of equipment or furniture immediately to management.
  12. Attend and participate in daily pre-service meetings and any training sessions or departmental meetings.
  13. Learn by listening, observing other team members, and sharing knowledge while leading by example.
  14. Portray a positive and professional attitude.
  15. Demonstrate knowledge of Tao Group Hospitality, its partners, and supporting hotel environments.
  16. Work as part of a team and provide help and support to all fellow team members.
  17. Assist and/or complete additional tasks as assigned.
Training Requirements

Tao Group Hospitality in-venue dishwasher training.

Education/Working Knowledge

Previous porter and/or dishwasher experience preferred.

Skills / Physical Demands / Work Environment / Schedule

The work environment characteristics and physical demands include the ability to write and verbally communicate, move quickly, push and lift up to 50 lbs, and stand for extended periods. The environment may involve noise, crowds, smoke, hot kitchen elements, and exposure to cleaning materials. Extended hours, irregular shifts, evening, weekend, and holiday work may be required. Maintain a professional appearance and interact courteously with customers and team members. Ability to handle a fast-paced, busy, and stressful environment is essential.
