Adobe Bar & Grille at the Arizona Biltmore Golf Club in Phoenix seeks a Dishwasher to maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the clubhouse kitchen. Under general supervision, you will clean dishes, utensils and equipment, prep areas, and support the kitchen during busy shifts.

Regular attendance and ability to work weekdays and weekends are required. Qualities include attention to detail, teamwork, and reliable communication with kitchen staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or pursuing
• Prior dishwasher experience preferred
• Able to operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment following established procedures and standards.
• Sort and stack dirty dishes and utensils for washing, removing any food residue and debris, and ensuring that items are properly prepped and organized for efficient cleaning.
• May hand wash delicate or oversized items that cannot be cleaned in the machine, using proper cleaning agents and technique to ensure thorough sanitation.
• Keep the dishwashing area clean and organized at all times, including wiping down surfaces and replenishing cleaning supplies.
• Ensure efficient dishwashing practices to help reduce downtime in the kitchen and restaurant.
• Take out trash when needed.

Job Summary

Under general supervision, theDishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment are cleaned and sanitized efficiently. The goal is to maintain cleanliness, efficiency and customer satisfaction within the Adobe Clubhouse kitchen dishwashing operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities listed below are essential to the employee’s position.

Operational

• Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment following established procedures and standards.
• Sort and stack dirty dishes and utensils for washing, removing any food residue and debris, and ensuring that items are properly prepped and organized for efficient cleaning.
• May be required to hand wash delicate or oversized items that cannot be cleaned in the dishwashing machine, using appropriate cleaning agents and technique’s to ensure thorough sanitation.

• Take out trash when needed.

Other

• May be scheduled to work at banquet events.
• May assist cooks with basic food preparation tasks.
• Participates in pre-shift meetings, taste tests, and training.
• Conform with all safety standards and use of all appropriate safety equipment.
• Follow good personal hygiene guidelines.
• Perform[ed] other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications Education and Experience Required

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or pursuing diploma.
• Previous experience as a dishwasher in a restaurant or similar setting preferred.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Required: Position may utilize golf carts; thus, must have a valid driver’s license.

Unexpired Arizona food certifications. Must be at least 19 years of age.

Regular attendance is required. Additional hours including weekends may be required on a regular basis to fulfill duties of position. At times, an individual must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple, competing tasks and demands and to seek supervisory assistance as appropriate.

Work Environment

This position primarily works both indoors and outdoors. At times, extreme temperatures may be part of the environment.

Work required exposure to temperatures sufficiently high to cause bodily discomfort. The noise level is usually moderate.

Schedules vary and may include weekends, holidays, etc. as determined by business needs.
