In 1996, Whittaker Homes sold 758 homes and became the #1 home builder in Missouri. Eventually, Whittaker Homes became a family business with Bob’s wife Shirley Whittaker, and each of Bob’s children joining the team in various capacities. Bob Whittaker had a real passion for every aspect of the golf industry and developed some of the area’s best golf courses including Whitmoor Country Club.

For many years, his children continued his legacy by owning and operating the Club. In 2023, the family chose Concert Golf Partners as a successor for the 36-hole property.
