Job summary

Gale-Hotels is seeking a dependable Dishwasher for our Florida kitchen. You will cleanse dishes, pots, pans, and flatware; restock dining and cook areas; and help maintain clean appliances and workspaces. This role supports smooth service across shifts, including weekends and holidays.

The position requires basic food safety knowledge, the ability to stand long hours, and a collaborative, punctual work ethic. Previous kitchen experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of experience as a Dishwasher or another entry-level role in a Kitchen in a restaurant.
• Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Understanding of hygiene and food safety rules.
• Physical ability to stand for long hours.
• Friendly, responsible, and punctual.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Attention to detail, cleanliness, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the availability of clean dishes by bussing tables, washing dishes, pots, pans, and flatware, and resetting dining areas.
• Preparing dining areas and kitchen for next shift by cleaning and restocking dining areas and cook stations.
• Cleaning machines and appliances used in the kitchen, such as coffee makers, pots, and pans, mixers, etc.
• Unloading and storing deliveries.
• Sweeping and mopping floors, especially if items are broken or spilled.
• Taking out the trash and rinsing garbage cans.
• Reporting kitchen accidents or violations of food safety codes and procedures.

The dishwasher’s duties include removing soiled plates and flatware from tables, washing them thoroughly, and resetting tables. The Dishwasher may also restock items, unload delivery trucks, help prepare cook stations, clean appliances and machines, empty and clean trash receptacles, and other duties, as needed.
