Belmont Village Senior Living is seeking a Part-time Dishwasher in San Jose to support our dining service program. You will sanitize dishes, clean kitchen spaces, and ensure equipment is ready for use with a focus on hospitality for residents.

The role demands reliability, teamwork, and the ability to work fast-paced shifts, including weekends. Training is provided and benefits accompany eligible part-time employment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 17 years of age.
• Professional, pleasant and team oriented attitude.
• Clear verbal and written English communication.
• Ability to follow daily instructions.
• Experience with cleaning standards in commercial food operations.
• Ability to work shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Reliable attendance essential for Belmont Village employees.
• Background checks, drug screen, job-related physical and TB test required.

• Perform cleaning and sanitizing tasks in the kitchen, including operating the dish machine, cleaning equipment, sweeping and mopping floors, and maintaining appliances.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of food and equipment to meet health and safety standards.
• Assist cooks with non-food preparation tasks as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe kitchen and dish room environment.
• Assist with stocking following food deliveries.
• Make hospitality and resident satisfaction a top priority in every interaction.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Dishwasher at Belmont Village Senior Living, you will be the heart of our dining service program! The Dishwasher is responsible for all sanitation and cleaning of the kitchen and for ensuring that all food preparation equipment, dishes and utensils are clean, sanitized and safely and efficiently stored and ready for use. The ideal candidate is reliable, takes pride in their work, and demonstrates empathy. They excel in a fast-paced, physically active position, collaborate effectively, and embrace a growth mindset, prioritizing exceptional hospitality and helping seniors to thrive as they age.

YOUR TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with cleaning standards in a commercial food operations
• Ability to work assigned shifts including early morning, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
• Consistent and reliable attendance is essential for all Belmont Village employees to ensure the successful operation of the community
