Belmont Village La Jolla is seeking a part-time Dishwasher to support our dining services in a fast-paced kitchen environment. You will be responsible for sanitation, dishwashing, and helping keep food prep areas clean and organized.

The role requires reliability, a team mindset, and the ability to work morning or evening shifts, including weekends and holidays. Join a community focused on hospitality and senior living excellence.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 17 years old
• Professional, pleasant and team oriented attitude
• Must communicate clearly in English (verbal and written)
• Ability to follow daily instructions
• Experience with cleaning standards in a commercial food operation
• Able to work early morning, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
• Consistent and reliable attendance
• Post-offer screenings may be required (background, drug, TB)

• Perform cleaning and sanitizing tasks in the kitchen and dish area
• Operate the dish machine and clean equipment
• Maintain storage and handling of food and equipment per health standards
• Assist cooks with non-food prep tasks as needed

• Part-Time AM/PM Dishwasher – Sunday: 7am-3pm & Monday/Tuesday: 12pm-8:30pm

• Part-Time PM Dishwasher – Thursday, Friday, Saturday: 4pm-9pm & Sunday/Monday: 12pm-8:30pm

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Dishwasher at Belmont Village Senior Living, you will be the heart of our dining service program! The Dishwasher is responsible for all sanitation and cleaning of the kitchen and for ensuring that all food preparation equipment, dishes and utensils are clean, sanitized and safely and efficiently stored and ready for use. The ideal candidate is reliable, takes pride in their work, and demonstrates empathy. They excel in a fast-paced, physically active position, collaborate effectively, and embrace a growth mindset, prioritizing exceptional hospitality and helping seniors to thrive as they age.

YOUR TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform cleaning and sanitizing tasks in the kitchen, including operating the dish machine, cleaning equipment, sweeping and mopping floors, and maintaining appliances

• Ensure proper storage and handling of food and equipment to meet health and safety standards

• Assist cooks with non-food preparation tasks as needed

• Maintain a clean, organized and safe kitchen and dish room environment

• Assist with stocking following food deliveries

• Make hospitality, customer service, and resident satisfaction your top priorities in every interaction

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 17 years of age

• Professional, pleasant and team oriented attitude

• Must be able to communicate clearly in verbal and written English

• Demonstrated ability to follow instruction for daily assignments

• Experience with cleaning standards in a commercial food operations

• Ability to work assigned shifts including early morning, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed

• Consistent and reliable attendance is essential for all Belmont Village employees to ensure the successful operation of the community
