Job summary

Hilltop Springs Senior Living is seeking a dependable Dishwasher to support daily meal service and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen. You will wash, sanitize, and store dishes and utensils, keep the dishwashing area tidy, and follow established sanitation schedules to ensure safety for residents and staff.

The role requires basic food-handling knowledge, the ability to work with a team, and physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 40–50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to handle food safely and efficiently.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physically able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40-50 pounds.
• Willingness to complete Mosaic and state-mandated training.
• Prior experience in dining, food service, or hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Dishwashing & Sanitation.
• Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans throughout the shift.
• Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, kitchen equipment, and food preparation spaces.
• Follow Mosaic’s cleaning schedules and complete assigned daily, weekly, and monthly sanitation checklists.
• Use proper techniques for handling, washing, and sanitizing kitchen tools and equipment in compliance with state and Mosaic standards.
• Ensure cleaning supplies and chemicals are used safely and according to OSHA and infection control guidelines.
• Return all cleaned dishes and utensils to their proper storage locations in a timely manner.
• Equipment & Supply Support.
• Assist with receiving, unpacking, and safely storing deliveries as directed by the Dining Services Manager or Cook.
• Monitor dishwashing equipment for proper operation and promptly report malfunctions or safety concerns.
