South Port Square in Port Charlotte, FL, seeks a hospitality-minded Utility Worker to perform dishwashing, cleaning, and supply storage on a full-time schedule. The role supports a senior living campus and requires reliability and a friendly demeanor to positively impact residents’ lives.

The position offers a comprehensive benefits package and a structured workday (7A-2:30P and 4P-8P) with pay starting at $14.40 per hour, plus background screening as required by Florida regulations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Dish and pot washing, general cleaning, and storing supplies.
• Set up dish washing area.
• Wash pots, dishes, and utensils.
• Distribute and store clean pots, dishes, and utensils.
• Sanitize production equipment and work surfaces.
• Empty trash containers as required.
• Maintain personal appearance and cleanliness.
• Maintain safe and sanitary conditions.
• Attend in-service training and education sessions as assigned.
• Perform duties as assigned by supervisor.

About The Role

The Utility Worker performs several kitchen activities including pot washing, dish washing, general cleaning duties and storing food and non-food supplies.

Daily Responsibilities

• Performs under the direction of supervisory personnel, dish and pot washing, general cleaning duties and storing food and non-food supplies.
• Sets up the dish and pot washing area.
• Prepares for dish washing and washes pots, dishes, and utensils.
• Distributes and stores clean pots, dishes, and utensils.
• Cleans and sanitizes production equipment, work surfaces and kitchen according to cleaning schedules and procedures.
• Empties trash containers as required.
• Maintains standards for personal appearance and cleanliness.
• Maintains safe and sanitary conditions.
• Attends in-service training and education sessions as assigned.
• Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

Required Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Have experience of setting up and operating dishwashing equipment.
