South Port Square in Port Charlotte, FL is seeking a hospitality-minded Utility Worker/Dishwasher to join our senior living community team. You will perform dishwashing, pot washing, and general kitchen cleaning while ensuring supplies are stored properly and standards are maintained.

Responsibilities include setting up the washing area, sanitizing equipment, and assisting with daily tasks. The role emphasizes teamwork, friendly resident interactions, and adherence to confidential information

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Experience setting up and operating dishwashing equipment.
• Team player with a warm, friendly manner.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff and visitors.
• Maintain confidentiality at all times.

Responsibilities

• Dish and pot washing, general cleaning, and storing supplies as directed.
• Set up dishwashing area and prep for cleaning tasks.
• Wash pots, dishes, and utensils; distribute and store clean items.
• Sanitize production equipment and work surfaces per cleaning schedules.
• Maintain safe, sanitary conditions and hygiene standards.
• Attend in-service trainings as assigned.
• Perform tasks as assigned by supervisor.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Utility Worker performs several kitchen activities including pot washing, dish washing, general cleaning duties and storing food and non-food supplies.

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Dishwasher/Busser:

• Performs under the direction of supervisory personnel, dish and pot washing, general cleaning duties and storing food and non-food supplies.
• Sets up the dish and pot washing area.
• Prepares for dish washing and washes pots, dishes, and utensils.
• Distributes and stores clean pots, dishes, and utensils.
• Cleans and sanitizes production equipment, work surfaces and kitchen according to cleaning schedules and procedures.
• Empties trash containers as required.
• Maintains standards for personal appearance and cleanliness.
• Maintains safe and sanitary conditions.
• Attends in-service training and education sessions as assigned.
• Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
