Job summary

Dial Senior Living is seeking a full-time dishwasher for the day shift to support our kitchen staff and maintain a clean, sanitary dining environment for residents. You will operate the dishwashing machine, hand wash items as needed, stock and store items, and assist with basic prep and table bussing to keep meals flowing smoothly.

Ideal candidates are at least 16 years old, able to read and communicate in English, and ready to work in a fast-paced senior living setting.

Qualifications

• Must be age 16 or older.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend the English language.

Responsibilities

• Operate dishwasher and ensure proper sanitation of kitchenware including dishes, silverware, pots, pans, and trays.
• Hand wash kitchen items not suitable for the dishwasher.
• Store items in their proper spot and maintain a tidy and organized kitchen.
• Notify manager if dish machine malfunctions or requires maintenance.
• Clean equipment, appliances, storage area, and sinks according to schedule.
• Support kitchen staff with basic prep, item restock, or delivery of clean items when needed.
• Provide customer service to residents to allow a high level of resident satisfaction.
• Bus tables during and after meals and clear tables when residents are finished eating, as requested.
• Maintain a clean, orderly and safe kitchen environment as required by local and state health departments.
• Perform routine preventative cleaning on dish machine according to schedule.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience And Other Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Required

• Promote teamwork in providing services to residents.
• Follow state food-handling and kitchen regulations
• Operation of basic kitchen appliances or willingness to learn.
• Working 3-3.75 hours per shift standing, walking, and moving about without the need to sit down

• Some experience in food cleanup or preparation is preferred
