Job summary

Dial Senior Living in Batavia, IL is seeking a Dishwasher to join our kitchen team. You will operate the dishwasher, wash and sanitize dishes, and keep the kitchen clean and organized while assisting staff with basic prep. Weekend availability on Saturdays and Sundays is noted.

The role requires a willingness to learn and follow food-handling regulations, standing for 3–3.75 hours per shift. We offer benefits and opportunities in a supportive senior-care environment.

Qualifications

• Must be age 16 or older.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend the English language.

Responsibilities

• Operate dishwasher and ensure proper sanitation of kitchenware including dishes, silverware, pots, pans, and trays.
• Hand wash kitchen items not suitable for the dishwasher.
• Store items in their proper spot and maintain a tidy and organized kitchen.
• Notify manager if dish machine malfunctions or requires maintenance.
• Clean equipment, appliances, storage area, and sinks according to schedule.
• Support kitchen staff with basic prep, item restock, or delivery of clean items when needed.
• Bus tables during and after meals and clear tables when residents are finished eating, as requested.
• Maintain a clean, orderly and safe kitchen environment as required by local and state health departments.
• Perform routine preventative cleaning on dish machine according to schedule.

Education, Experience and Other Requirements

• Must be age 16 or older
• Ability to read, write and comprehend the English language

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

• Follow state food-handling and kitchen regulations
• Operation of basic kitchen appliances or willingness to learn.
• Working 3-3.75 hours per shift standing, walking, and moving about without the need to sit down
