POSITION SNAPSHOT

The Dishwasher position is vital to the overall cleanliness of the building and the safety of our guests and staff. Our dishwasher staff is responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and properly storing all dishes, flatware, utensils and kitchenware.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deliver an unparalleled guest experience through the best combination of food, drinks and games.
• Notify immediate supervisor promptly and fully of all problems or unusual matters of significance; take corrective action or suggest alternative courses of action.
• Use chemicals properly in correct quantities for safety and cost control.
• Safely and correctly operate all equipment.
• Clean and sanitize all dishware, flatware, glassware, kitchen pots, pans, utensils and equipment.
• Sort dishware and flatware carefully to ensure none are lost or disposed of.
• Handle all glassware and dishware to eliminate breakage.
• Empty all trash in the kitchen and clean and maintain trash cans.
• Assist other kitchen staff members with pressure point relief during the shift as needed.
• Assist with line maintenance, sweeping and clearing dirty dishes.
• Assist with some prep and banquet items as directed by management.
• Clean and maintain kitchen and dish areas, floors, walls, drains, mats and storage areas.
• Assist other team members as needed or when business needs dictate.
• Maintain a favorable working relationship with all other company team members to foster a cooperative and harmonious working climate that will be conducive to maximum morale, productivity and efficiency.
• Remain friendly and smile while working days, nights and/or weekends as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous maintenance experience at a hotel or restaurant is preferred but not required.
• Must be able to clearly communicate with guests and other team members.
• Must be disciplined and self‑motivated.
• Is dressed in accordance with dress guidelines, looking neat, clean, and professional at all times.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK CONDITIONS

Indicates the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this job:

• Work days, nights and/or weekends as required.
• Work in a noisy, fast paced environment with distracting conditions.
• Read and write handwritten notes.
• Lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
• Move about the facility and stand for long periods of time; walk or stand 100% of shift.
• Reach, bend, stoop, mop, sweep and wipe frequently.
• Perform tasks related to dishwashing, cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining kitchen areas.

BENEFITS & COMPENSATION

Salary Range: $7.25 – $15 per hour.
