Position Snapshot

The Dishwasher position is vital to the overall cleanliness of the building and the safety of our guests and staff. Dishwasher staff are responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and properly storing all dishes, flatware, utensils and kitchenware.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes all dishware, flatware, glassware, pots, pans and utensils.
• Carefully sorts dishware and flatware to ensure none are lost or disposed of.
• Uses chemicals properly in correct quantities for safety and cost control.
• Safely and correctly operates all equipment.
• Empties all trash in the kitchen and cleans and maintains trash cans.
• Assists other kitchen staff with line maintenance, sweeping and clearing dirty dishes.
• Assists with some prep and banquet items as directed by management.
• Cleans and maintains kitchen and dish areas, floors, walls, drains, mats, and storage areas.
• Maintains a cooperative and harmonious working climate with all company team members.
• Provides friendly customer interaction with a smiling demeanor during all shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Previous maintenance experience at a hotel or restaurant is preferred but not required.
• Must demonstrate clear communication with guests and team members.
• Must be disciplined, self‑motivated and able to work days, nights and/or weekends as required.
• Is dressed in accordance with dress guidelines, looking neat, clean, and professional at all times.

Physical Demands

• Work in a noisy, fast‑paced environment with distracting conditions.
• Lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
• Stand or walk for 100% of the shift.
• Reach, bend, stoop, mop, sweep and wipe frequently.
• Move about the facility and stand for long periods of time.
