Job summary

Ascent Hospitality seeks a dedicated Dishwasher to support its Food & Beverage operations by supplying outlets with clean cookware and tableware. The role entails learning multiple outlet operations and building a foundation for a career in F&B.

Essential responsibilities include delivering and cleaning dishware, maintaining safety standards, and assisting with daily housekeeping duties across banquet and service areas. Strong teamwork and flexibility are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
• Ability to multi-task, including pushing and pulling objects and carts of varying weights without assistance.
• Ability to remain active in a fast paced environment, including standing for 8+ hours per day.
• Flexible scheduling to include nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Deliver clean cookware and tableware to various outlets and meeting rooms.
• Clean all cookware and tableware to meet hotel and Health and Safety Standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards by ensuring floors and equipment are clean and arranged according to Food and Beverage specifications.
• Separate all silverware and return to proper area.
• Ensure all glasses are placed in proper glass racks and returned to proper area.
• Ensure pots, pans, and china storage racks are cleaned, organized and properly stored.
• Remove trash, and clean trash cans daily.
• Sweep and mop floors in dish area throughout shift.
• Clear and Clean all Queen Marys after Banquet Functions.
• Break down and deep clean dish machine (inside & out).
• Check Hot Boxes (clean as needed).
• De-Lime dish machine (as directed and per schedule).
• Remove and clean dishes from Server area (AM and PM shifts).
• Perform other duties assigned by supervisor/ manager.
• Perform special daily projects assigned by supervisor/ manager

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to stand for long periods of time on hard surface; using arms, hands and legs repetitively; handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• The employee is frequently required to walk, balance, talk, hear and smell. Must be able to work with cleaning chemicals, warm temperature and be exposed to various food products.
• Must be able to utilize cleaning chemicals in the daily course of responsibilities
• Must regularly be able to carry and balance up to 25 pounds without assistance.
• Must be capable of effectively using close vision, distance vision, color vision and sense of smell.
• Able to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations
