  • Ability to obtain & maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all dining ware, kitchen equipment, kitchen surfaces, and floors are clean and sanitized throughout the outlet.
  • Empty, wash, and return waste receptables throughout outlet.
  • Breakdown and organize cardboard boxes for recycling.
  • Operate mechanical vehicles for transporting large bins of product under strict safety guidelines.
  • Keep wash area and mop closets clean and organized.
  • Assist with any special cleaning projects, as assigned.
  • Adhere to safe handling, usage, and storage requirements of all chemicals and notify manager on duty when items need to be replenished.
  • Participate in pre-shift meetings.
  • Address any major odors and safety issues, as it relates to broken glassware and spills, in a prompt manner.
  • Take corrective action and notify management of any issues with the facility, equipment, or safety hazards.
  • Maintain a clean, sanitized and safe working environment in all food and beverage areas.
  • Maintain the proper operation of cleaning equipment/dish machines daily.
  • Adhere to company guidelines as stated in team member training manual and handbook.
  • Obtain and maintain position-specific licensing.
  • Use personal device/cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review of company documents, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Core Job Responsibilities:

The Porter is responsible for maintaining the kitchen. This position will clean and sanitize the kitchen equipment, dining ware, and food preparation areas, as well as dispose of waste.
