Job summary

Meadows of Napa Valley is seeking a dependable Dishwasher to join our dining services team. You will help maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment while supporting our residents with meal service.

Responsibilities include operating and cleaning the dishwashing area, coordinating with the kitchen team, and following sanitation and safety guidelines. Must be 16+ with English communication skills; background checks may apply.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with kitchen organization preferred.
• Good communication skills in English, both oral and written.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and record water temperature and sanitizer levels.
• Set up and break down the dishwashing machine and related components.
• Clean the dishwashing machine interior and exterior and ensure proper operation.
• Sanitize kitchen surfaces, equipment, ware-washing systems, garbage cans and surrounding areas.
• Maintain and organize cleaning supplies and chemical storage.
• Follow sanitation, safety, and environmental guidelines.
• Occasionally assist with food preparation and other kitchen duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay: $18.50–$20.50 per hour / DOE
Job Type: Full-Time

Join our team at The Meadows of Napa! We’re looking for a dependable and hardworking Dishwasher to help maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment while supporting our dining services team.

What You’ll Do

• Monitor and record water temperature and sanitizer solution levels and notify management when levels are outside the required range.
• Set up and break down the dishwashing machine as needed, including arms, screens, traps, and baskets.
• Clean the inside and outside of the dishwashing machine and ensure it is operating properly.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen production equipment, work surfaces, ware-washing systems, garbage cans, and surrounding kitchen areas.
• Maintain the cleaning-supply and chemical storage room, keeping supplies stocked, properly labeled, organized, and clean.
• Follow all applicable sanitation, safety, and environmental guidelines.
• Occasionally assist with food preparation and other kitchen duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Schedule

Full-Time

Days off may vary during training. Once training is completed, a permanent schedule will be established.

What You Need to Succeed

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with kitchen organization preferred.
• Good communication skills in English, both oral and written.
• Ability and willingness to occasionally assist with other kitchen duties.
• Ability to follow sanitation, safety, and cleanliness standards consistently.
• Successful completion of a background check. Depending on state and local requirements, this may include a drug screen, physical examination, TB test, and fingerprinting.
• CPR and First Aid certification may be required in certain state or local jurisdictions, including California Title 22 requirements.
