Job description

Job Description:

Responsible for dishwashing and general housekeeping tasks. Maintains the Culinary Department in a sanitary, safe, and clean condition that meets hospital, Health Department, and Joint Commission standards.

Posting Specifics

Pay Rate: Based on Experience

Shift Details: Part-time (20 hrs/wk). 2 morning (AM) shifts per week and 2 afternoon/evening (PM) shifts per week, about 5 hours per shift. Rotating weekends included.

Department: Intermountain Medical Center Culinary Services

Additional Details: Will involve water and dishwashing chemicals.

Essential Functions:

  1. Cleans and sanitizes dishes.
  2. Collects patient tray carts from hospital floors.
  3. Cleans and disinfects assigned areas, including dining areas, following department procedures.
  4. Uses cleaning chemicals properly according to Joint Commission and OSHA standards.
  5. Properly disposes of infectious waste and trash following procedures.
  6. Operates and maintains equipment such as commercial dishwashers according to established procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to see, read labels, and assess equipment and supplies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
  • Manual dexterity for handling equipment and supplies.
  • Ability to lift, transport, and maneuver heavy items.
  • Stand for long periods and tolerate temperature extremes and chemical exposure.

Location: Intermountain Medical Center, Murray, Utah

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 20

The hourly rate ranges from $16.32 to $21.22, depending on experience.
