Job summary

The Buttery in Malvern, PA is seeking a reliable dishwasher to support our vibrant kitchen team. You’ll keep dishware and equipment sparkling, help maintain sanitation, and assist with prep as needed.

This hands-on role is fast-paced but rewarding, offering on-the-job training and a collaborative environment where every team member contributes to great guest experiences. Physical tasks are required, including lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing demanding kitchen tasks.
• Collaborative team member with a positive attitude and reliability.
• On-the-job training provided; prior kitchen experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, floors, sinks, and counters.
• Ensure health and safety standards are followed in cleaning tasks.
• Restock clean items and assist with prep to support kitchen operations.
• Keep storage and service areas organized; report issues as needed.
• Label, store, and stock kitchen inventory and supplies.

Overview

As part of our kitchen crew, the Dishwasher keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes. From keeping dishware and cookware sparkling clean to helping maintain a safe, organized, and efficient kitchen, this role is essential to the daily success of The Buttery.

Responsibilities

Dishwashing & Sanitation

• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using industrial dishwashing machines or manual methods.
• Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen and dishwashing areas, including floors, sinks, and counters.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in all cleaning and sanitation tasks.

Utility & Maintenance

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all kitchen, storage, and service areas, including routine trash, recycling, and compost removal, reporting any issues to management.
• Support kitchen operations by restocking clean items, assisting with prep, and jumping in where needed.
• Help with general upkeep of interior and exterior areas, including cleaning floors, surfaces, and shared spaces.

General Support

• Support organization and maintenance of kitchen inventory, cold storage, and dry goods, ensuring items are properly labeled, stored, and stocked.
• Assist with setting up and breaking down kitchen stations and equipment at the beginning and end of shifts.
• Handle cleaning supplies with care, ensuring proper storage and safe usage at all times.

Qualifications

• Reliable, hard-working, and able to handle physically demanding tasks (including lifting up to 50 lbs.) in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player with a positive attitude, flexible availability, and a willingness to support various kitchen and utility tasks as needed.
• Previous experience is a plus, but not required-on-the-job training is provided for candidates eager to learn and work independently.
