Job summary

Dial Senior Living is seeking a part-time dishwasher/kitchen helper to support daily meal service for residents. You will operate the dishwasher, hand-wash when needed, and maintain a clean, organized kitchen while complying with health regulations.

• Ability to read, write and comprehend English.

Responsibilities

• Operate dishwasher and ensure sanitation of dishes, silverware, pots, pans and trays.
• Hand wash items not suitable for the dishwasher.
• Maintain a tidy, organized kitchen and proper storage.
• Notify manager if dish machine malfunctions or requires maintenance.
• Clean equipment, storage areas, and sinks per schedule.
• Support kitchen staff with basic prep and item restock.
• Provide customer service to residents to ensure high satisfaction.
• Bus tables during and after meals and clear tables as needed.
• Maintain a safe kitchen environment per health regulations.
• Perform routine cleaning on the dish machine and related areas.
• Other duties as assigned.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Operate dishwasher and ensure proper sanitation of kitchenware including dishes, silverware, pots, pans, and trays.
• Hand wash kitchen items not suitable for the dishwasher.
• Store items in their proper spot and maintain a tidy and organized kitchen.
• Notify manager if dish machine malfunctions or requires maintenance.
• Clean equipment, appliances, storage area, and sinks according to schedule.
• Support kitchen staff with basic prep, item restock, or delivery of clean items when needed.
• Provide customer service to residents to allow a high level of resident satisfaction.
• Bus tables during and after meals and clear tables when residents are finished eating, as requested.
• Maintain a clean, orderly and safe kitchen environment as required by local and state health departments.
• Perform routine preventative cleaning on dish machine according to schedule.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience And Other Requirements

• Must be age 16 or older
• Ability to read, write and comprehend the English language

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Required

• Promote teamwork in providing services to residents.
• Follow state food-handling and kitchen regulations
• Operation of basic kitchen appliances or willingness to learn.
• Working 3-3.75 hours per shift standing, walking, and moving about without the need to sit down

Preferred Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and help others
• Enjoyment in working with older adults
• Some experience in food cleanup or preparation is preferred
