Job summary

The Villages of Indiana is seeking a Dishwasher to support our kitchen team in Johnson City, Tennessee. You will be responsible for washing and unloading dishes, pots, pans, silverware, and equipment, ensuring cleanliness and organization in the dining and culinary areas.

Responsibilities include following proper cleaning procedures, stocking supplies, and performing routine cleaning tasks. A positive attitude, good communication, and teamwork are essential to help deliver a great dining

Qualifications

• Prior restaurant or dishwashing experience is preferred, but not required.
• Must be friendly, display a positive attitude, and have good teamwork skills.
• Good communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Wash and unload dishes, pots, pans, silverware, china, utensils, and equipment.
• Use proper cleaning procedures and store items per health/safety codes.
• Stock soap, towels, and paper products throughout the kitchen.
• Perform daily or scheduled cleaning duties according to policies and procedures.
• May scrub and mop floors, clean and sanitize equipment and work areas.
• Maintain a positive attitude and support a team environment with other dishwashers and the culinary team.

General Working Conditions

This position entails standing for long periods of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to communicate effectively with others, sit, stand, walk and use hands to handle keyboard, telephone, paper, files, and other equipment and objects. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to review detailed documents and read computer screens. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The work environment requires appropriate interaction with others. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
