Job Description

General Hotels Corporation is seeking a Dishwasher to work at our Crowne Plaza Indianapolis Airport hotel. The Dishwasher contributes to guest satisfaction and safety by ensuring that wares for both front and back of house are clean and sanitized.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Wash all wares including pots, pans, flatware, and glasses, by hand or using dishwashers.
2. Correctly place and store clean equipment, dishes, and utensils in assigned storage areas.
3. Stock serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, and other areas with necessary dishes and utensils.
4. Clean trash receptacles with water or steam.
5. Move dishwashing supplies and equipment from storage to work area by hand or using hand trucks.
6. Assist in cleaning and preparing various foods for cooking and/or serving, as directed.
7. Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work environment, adhering to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
8. Buss tables in the restaurant area as needed.
9. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities

1. Ability to understand and follow directions.
2. Ability to meet restaurant standards for health, safety, and cleanliness.
3. Remain alert and focused in a noisy, fast-paced environment.
4. Work effectively with kitchen staff.

Education and Experience

Restaurant experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

3. Availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
4. Ability to bend, stoop, and wipe frequently.
5. Frequent immersion of hands in water.
6. Ability to work in hot and damp environments.
