Job summary

The Aspenwood Company in Houston, TX is seeking full-time Dishwasher/Utility Workers to join a community-focused kitchen team. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining the dishwashing area, ensuring an ample supply of clean dishes for dining and kitchen operations, and supporting overall kitchen cleanliness.

Weekend and holiday availability is required, and candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in hot, wet, humid, and loud environments for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, reach, bend, and stoop; work in a standing position for long periods; and safely lift bags, cases, and stacks weighing up to 60 pounds up to 30 times per shift.
• Maintain exceptional hygiene and grooming habits.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Load, run, and unload the dish machine efficiently.
• Keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical issues immediately.
• Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware to ensure adequate levels of clean items for the dining room and kitchen.
• Clean food preparation and production areas as required.
• Perform general cleaning duties to maintain a clean and sanitary environment.
• Complete other tasks as assigned by management or leadership to support the smooth operation of the kitchen.

Location: Village of Meyerland, an Assisted Living with Memory Care senior community

Must be available on weekends and holidays.
