Job summary

Jersey Girl Cafe is seeking a reliable Dishwasher to join our fast-paced kitchen team in New Jersey. You will wash dishes, pots, and pans, maintain a clean station, and help with deliveries and prep as needed.

Ideal candidates have prior restaurant dishwashing experience, knowledge of food safety procedures, and good communication skills. Must be at least 17 years old and able to work afternoons and weekends.

Job description

This job schedule is primarily in the afternoon, from 3 pm to 8:30pm weekdays, and 11 am to 4:30pm on weekends.

Main Responsibilities for a Dishwasher:

• Consistently ensure the availability of clean dishes by washing dishes, pans, and pots.
• Maintain a clean work environment by cleaning kitchen equipment (pans, pots, dishes, bowls) and appliances (mixers, stoves, refridgeration).

Dishwasher Job Description:

We have a vacant spot for a well-organized and committed dishwasher. Our culinary environment is fast-paced and we expect you to be able to work as part of a team.

Your main duties will include

• cleaning, washing, and sanitizing dishes, pots, pans
• assisting with prep work including filling sauce bottles, portioning meats
• cleaning cook stations, appliances, sweeping, mopping
• assist with unloading delivery trucks

Our goal is to employ a person with excellent time management and communication skills.

You will be working in a kitchen. This means that you will also have to abide by food safety procedures and regulations.
