Job summary

One Twenty Three Tavern in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking hard-working dishwashers to join our team. You will operate the dishwashing machine and clean wares, supporting our back-of-house and front-of-house teams to ensure a smooth and enjoyable dining experience.

This role offers both full-time and part-time opportunities. You must be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work nights, weekends, and holidays as required. We value reliability, teamwork, and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Wash wares in dish-washing machine or by hand according to sanitation standards.
• Polish all silverware, platters, and chafing dishes.
• Empty garbage cans, wash, and reline with new bags; break down boxes and debris.
• Wash and polish stainless steel in the kitchen and equipment areas.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors.
• Assist in food preparation, store deliveries, and clean coolers and storerooms.
• Maintain inventories of soap, chemicals, and paper towels.
• Assist in completing weekly kitchen cleaning and maintenance tasks.
• Ensure all safety, sanitation and security procedures are followed.
• Must arrive on time, well-groomed and in clean attire.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Our Dishwashers play a valuable and critical role in ouroperation and work alongside our back of house and front of house teams to ensure an amazing diningexperience. Full and Part-Time positions are available.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

• Wash all wares in dish-washing machine or by hand according to the highest sanitation standards and store in proper areas
• Polish all silverware, platters, and chafing dishes
• Empty garbage cans, wash, and reline with new bags. Break down boxes, crates, and remove debris
• Wash and polish all stainless steel in the kitchen including shelves, dish cabinets, ice machines, coffee area, refrigerators, walk-ins, etc.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors
• Assisting in food preparation, storing foods after delivery, and cleaning coolers, freezers, and storerooms
• Maintain inventories of soap, chemicals, and paper towels
• Assist in completing weekly kitchen cleaning and maintenance list
• Ensures all safety, sanitation and security procedures are followed.
• Must arrive to work on time, well‐groomed and in clean work attire.
• Other duties as assigned by management
