Job summary

ZMC Hotels in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a full-time dishwasher to operate the automatic dishwasher and hand-wash items that do not fit the machine. You will maintain cleanliness of dishes, cookware, and kitchen areas while supporting a fast-paced dining operation.

The role requires strong organization and guest service skills, with attention to detail and reliable communication with staff and management to ensure smooth service and compliance with safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work the majority of the shift in a standing position, constantly moving, and able to lift 30 pounds.
• Strong guest service skills.
• Attention to detail and customer service oriented.
• Ability to communicate satisfactorily with guests, management, and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Set up dishwasher correctly i.e.: temperature, drains, detergents at proper levels.
• Washes dirty dishes then stacks and stores in the appropriate area of the kitchen.
• Thoroughly cleans dishwashing equipment and work areas.
• Performs clean-up in all kitchen areas.
• Wash pots and pans properly, including presoak and sanitizing.
• Dispose of waste in manner prescribed by management.
• Assists in putting away stock, rotating stock and cleaning stock rooms.
• Complete training of required OSHA programs.
• Be aware of fire alarm system and evacuation procedures.
• All duties must be carried out with safety in mind.
• Be flexible and adaptable to changes to the job.
• Maintain confidentiality of business information.
