Job summary

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, plates, glasses, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
• Operate the commercial dishwasher and follow proper procedures.
• Properly scrape, wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes and kitchen items.
• Put clean dishes, equipment, and utensils in their designated places.
• Keep the dishwashing area clean, organized, and free of clutter.
• Maintain a steady flow of clean dishes during busy restaurant service.
• Assist kitchen staff with basic cleaning and preparation tasks when needed.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, floors, sinks, and equipment as assigned.
• Remove garbage and recycling according to restaurant procedures.
• Keep garbage and food waste areas clean and organized.
• Follow proper food safety, sanitation, and chemical handling procedures.
• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and correctly.
• Help maintain a safe and sanitary kitchen environment.
• Assist cooks and other kitchen staff during busy periods.
• Complete opening and closing cleaning duties as assigned.
• Follow instructions from the Head Chef, Sous Chef, and kitchen supervisors.
• Maintain a professional, respectful, and team-oriented attitude.

Work Schedule: Full-time or part-time; schedule will be discussed during the interview. Weekend and holiday availability is required.

Pay & Compensation: $18-21/h.
