Job summary

Westmont Living is seeking a dedicated Dishwasher to join Westmont of Encinitas, a senior living community offering independent to memory care. You will help maintain a clean, organized kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing and storing utensils, and ensuring kitchen safety.

The role involves transporting dishes after meals, restocking, and supporting the kitchen team. Training will be provided; candidates must clear background checks and health screenings as part of our licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of sanitation and cleanliness standards.
• Ability to operate kitchen dishwashing equipment and sanitize dishes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of major kitchen equipment and wash, sanitize, dry, and store dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and utensils.
• Transport dishes to the kitchen after meals.
• Clear, wash, sanitize, and restock all dishes and utensils.
• Wash pots, pans, and other kitchen utensils.
• Return dishes to storage areas and break down the kitchen for cleanup.
• Ensure sanitary and safety standards are met.
• Must pass health screens and background checks as required.

What we need from you:

• Ensure cleanliness of major kitchen equipment and for washing, sanitizing, drying, and storing china, glass, silverware, pots, pans, and utensils by:

• Transporting all dishes to the kitchen following meal preparation and mealtimes

• Properly clearing, washing, sanitizing, and restocking all dishes, silverware, and glassware

• Properly washing pots, pans, and other kitchen utensils

• Returning dishes and utensils to appropriate storage areas

• Breaking down kitchen for clean up

• Ensure all sanitary and safety standards are met

• Must have criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community

• Must pass all health screen such as Physical, TB, Drug test

• Must have current basic first aid or obtain within first 30 days of hire.
