Responsibilities

  • Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
  • Operate the commercial dishwasher according to facility procedures.
  • Check and record the chlorine concentration and water temperature of the dishwashing machine at the beginning of each shift.
  • Monitor water temperatures throughout dishwashing cycles.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the dishwashing area.
  • Clean work surfaces, refrigerators, and kitchen equipment.
  • Sweep, mop, and maintain kitchen floors.
  • Carry out trash and garbage and maintain proper waste disposal.
  • Prepare nourishments and snacks as directed.
  • Put groceries and supplies away in a safe, orderly, and sanitary manner.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection-control procedures.
  • Maintain the kitchen in a clean and sanitary condition throughout the shift.
  • Assist cooks and the Dietary Supervisor as needed.
  • Support the dietary team with additional duties as assigned.
  • Participate in orientation and ongoing training as required.

Dublin Post Acute – Dublin, Ohio Dublin Post Acute is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented Dishwasher to join our Dietary Department. The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen while supporting the dietary team and ensuring proper food-service procedures are followed.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

Previous kitchen, dietary, or dishwasher experience is preferred but not required. Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment. Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Must demonstrate professionalism and respect when interacting with residents, families, and staff.

Qualification Education and/or Experience High school diploma or equivalent.

Language Skills Ability to read technical procedures. Ability to read and follow recipes. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.

Mathematical Skills Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
