Job summary

Overland Park SNF Healthcare, LLC is seeking a reliable Dishwasher General Purpose to perform cleaning and storage of dishes and kitchen equipment, maintaining a clean and sanitary work area in a healthcare setting. Responsibilities include operating automated dishwashing equipment, hand washing, stocking, following sanitation procedures, and assisting with basic food service tasks.

Must have a high school diploma and a current ServSafe certification; ability to lift up to 30 pounds and wear

  • Prepare soiled dishes for automated cleaning.
  • Operate automated dishwashing equipment and adjust settings.
  • Hand wash pots, pans, and utensils.
  • Maintain sanitary kitchen conditions.
  • Dispose of trash and clean work areas.
  • Follow sanitation procedures and pest-control schedules.
  • Store and clean dinnerware and equipment.
  • Wear food service safety gear as required.
  • Assist with delivering trays or serving food as needed.
  • Protect resident information as required.

Job description

Dishwasher General Purpose

The primary purpose of your job position is performing a variety of physical and manual work involved in the cleaning and storage of kitchen equipment, utensils and dishes and the maintenance of food preparation areas in a clean and sanitary manner.

Essential Duties
  • Prepare Soiled dishes, silverware and similar items for automated cleaning equipment.
  • Operates automated cleaning equipment; adds cleaning solvents or agents and adjusts settings as required
  • Hand washes items as required, including pots and pans
  • Maintains sanitary conditions throughout the kitchen and work areas
  • Disposes of trash and rubbish; cleans own work area and any other portions of kitchen as required
  • Follows established schedules for special cleaning or pest control
  • Stores and cleans china, glasses and other dinnerware and equipment
  • Follows sanitation procedures and performs periodic cleaning of china, utensils or other items
  • May perform miscellaneous food service tasks such as delivering trays, assisting in the serving of food and similar tasks
  • Performs related work as required
  • Required to wear food service safety gear to include but not limited to; hairnets, sanitary gloves, cut gloves, rubber soled-anti slip protective shoe and safety glasses/goggles
  • Other duties as assigned by manager
  • Maintain the confidentiality of all resident care information including protected health information. Report known or suspected incidents of unauthorized disclosure of such information.
Supervisory Requirements

This position has no supervisor responsibilities.

Qualification Education and/or Experience

Must possess, as a minimum, A high school diploma or equivalent.

Language Skills
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.
Mathematical Skills
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Current ServSafe certification required as indicated by State / County law. ServSafe Foodhandler Certification
