Department: Operations

Reports to: Kitchen Manager/Assistant Kitchen Manager

Position Summary: Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for china, glassware, flatware, and cooking utensils using both machine and manual cleaning methods. Ensures the dish area is maintained as a clean, safe, and sanitary environment.

Major Responsibilities: Primary duties include but are not limited to:

1. Washing dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using dishwashers or by hand, ensuring all items are clean and sanitized for food preparation, storage, and dining.
2. Storing clean dishes, utensils, and equipment appropriately.
3. Cleaning garbage cans with water or steam.
4. Sorting and removing trash, placing it in designated pickup areas.
5. Maintaining cleanliness of kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils.
6. Sweeping and scrubbing floors.
7. Receiving and storing supplies.
8. Transferring supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
9. Executing line sweeps and trash changes as needed.
10. Organizing storage areas.
11. Stocking supplies such as food and utensils.
12. Performing additional duties like food prep as required.
13. Following all safety and food safety policies.
14. Clocking in/out and taking breaks per policy.
15. Adhering to company policies, procedures, and regulations.
16. Reporting to supervisors as directed.
17. Performing duties with urgency and meeting standards.

Essential Requirements:

1. Relevant skills and experience.
2. Food handler's card.
3. Ability to stand for 8 hours and communicate effectively.
4. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and 150 lbs. with assistance.
5. Ability to work in hot, damp environments.
6. Awareness of hazards like cuts, burns, slips, and trips.
7. Frequent hand washing.
