Job summary

Mountainside Treatment Center seeks a Dishwasher/Kitchen Staff to support a clean, well-organized kitchen and dining area. The role involves maintaining kitchen spaces and assisting in food preparation as part of a collaborative team.

Per Diem shifts are 7:00am–3:30pm, 9:00am–5:30pm, or 11:00am–7:30pm. Nights, weekends, and some holidays may be required; paid time off benefits are offered along with meals on campus.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work nights, weekends and some holidays.
• Professional communication skills required.
• To be teachable as well as flexible to day to day needs/demands of the kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Perform kitchen maintenance: empty trash, sweep/mop floors, wash dishes.
• Clear plates and run the commercial dishwasher, return dishes to correct locations.
• Clear and set dining room.
• Assist with food preparation: chop vegetables, make salads, assemble entrees as needed.
• Assist with cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers and storage areas.
• Assists with other duties as requested by Chef or Kitchen Manager.

About The Position:

Mountainside Treatment Center is seeking a Dishwasher/Kitchen Staff to work in harmony with all members of the food service team while maintaining and assisting in various aspects of the kitchen. As a member of the food services team, the Kitchen Staff’s duties include various kitchen maintenance, as well as keeping the dining / kitchen clean and organized.

Schedule:

Per Diem, As needed with availability to work the following shifts: 7:00am - 3:30pm, 9:00am - 5:30pm, or 11:00am - 7:30pm

Your Role:

• Performing kitchen maintenance: emptying the trash, sweeping and mopping floors and washing dishes
• Clear plates and run commercial dishwasher, return dishes to correct locations
• Clear and set dining room
• Food preparation, chopping vegetables, making salads and putting together entrees as needed
• Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen, walk-in coolers and all storage areas
• Performs additional responsibilities as requested by the Chef, Sous Chef, Kitchen Manager at any time
• To assist and share in other responsibilities and duties as assigned by the Food Service Director or their representative

Qualifications:

Compensation:

The base salary for the position is $18.00 to $19.50 per hour. Actual pay is determined based on a number of job-related factors including skills, education, training, credentials, experience, scope and complexity of role responsibilities, geographic location, performance, and working conditions.
