Job summary

Mountainside Treatment Center in Canaan, CT is seeking a Dishwasher/Kitchen Staff member to support the food service team by maintaining cleanliness and assisting in various kitchen tasks.

Shifts include 7:00am-3:30pm, 9:00am-5:30pm, or 11:00am-7:30pm on a Per Diem basis. Responsibilities include dishwashing, light prep, sanitation, and keeping dining areas organized; must be able to work nights, weekends, and some holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work nights, weekends and some holidays.
• Professional communication skills required.
• To be teachable as well as flexible to day to day needs/demands of the kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Performing kitchen maintenance: emptying the trash, sweeping and mopping floors and washing dishes
• Clear plates and run commercial dishwasher, return dishes to correct locations
• Clear and set dining room
• Food preparation, chopping vegetables, making salads and putting together entrees as needed
• Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen, walk-in coolers and all storage areas
• Performs additional responsibilities as requested by the Chef, Sous Chef, Kitchen Manager at any time
• To assist and share in other responsibilities and duties as assigned by the Food Service Director or their representative
