Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels in Columbus, OH, is seeking a Dishwasher to maintain a clean, safe kitchen and support fast-paced food & beverage operations. You will wash, sanitize, and store dishes, assist with basic prep, and help keep the dish room organized to ensure a smooth guest experience.

The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented and capable of standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Prior dishwasher or kitchen experience preferred but not required.
• Able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.

Responsibilities

• Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils using both machine and manual cleaning methods.
• Ensure all dishes are properly stored in designated areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of dish room, kitchen floors, trash areas, and loading dock.
• Dispose of trash and recycling following hotel guidelines and safety standards.
• Assist with basic food prep or kitchen tasks as directed by chefs or supervisors.
• Follow all sanitation, health, and food safety regulations.
• Operate dishwashing equipment safely and report any malfunctions immediately.
• Support kitchen team by keeping areas stocked, organized, and clean.
• Assist with receiving and organizing deliveries when needed.
