Job description

Do you enjoy working with seniors and have a caring heart for them? We are a Senior Independent Living Community seeking a Dishwasher, starting at $15.00 per hour depending on experience. This is an entry-level position with growth opportunities within the kitchen staff. It is a part-time role (minimum 15 hours per week), offering benefits such as 20 hours of vacation and 20 hours of sick pay within the first year, plus holiday double pay if worked.

Availability is needed for Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 3-7 pm, and Sundays from 9 am-2 pm. Additional hours are possible if desired. Position Summary

The Dishwasher performs dishwashing and other cleaning duties to ensure residents’ dining needs are met, in accordance with all laws, regulations, and company standards. Reports to the Dining Services Director.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum age 18 years old (OSHA requirement)
• Prior food service experience preferred

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads dishwasher
• Hand washes/scrubs pots, pans, utensils, and items not suited for commercial dishwashing machines
• Assists in daily cleaning (e.g., walk-in refrigerator, stock room, ovens, sinks, floors)
• Records temperatures of dish machine daily to ensure proper sanitation levels
• Removes trash and inserts new trash bags
• Assists with serving if staffing requires
• Delivers meals to residents' rooms
