Job summary

Kings Casino Management Corp in Citrus Heights, CA, is seeking a dedicated dishwasher to maintain a clean dining and kitchen area and support food and beverage staff in a fast-paced casino environment.

You will load and operate the dishwasher, wash pots and pans, stock supplies, and help keep floors, counters and storage areas sanitary and compliant with California health codes. Teamwork, reliability and basic math are valued.

DishwasherPrimary FunctionTo maintain cleanliness throughout the property and provide assistance to the food and beverage staff in alignment with the mission and core values of the company.Essential ResponsibilitiesAll job duties are to be performed in accordance with Company Policies & Procedures, Safety Regulations and other legal regulations and requirements (California Health & Safety Code, Division 104, Part 7 - Retail Food). Essential responsibilities include the following. Please note that additional duties may be assigned at a future date:Present the Restaurant in a professional, attractive manner by maintaining a clean environment; includes keeping the coffee area clean; bussing trays, dirty dishes and flatware to the dishwashing area; washing dishes.Provide kitchen with adequate supply of clean pots, pans, and dishes by loading, operating, and unloading dishwasher, manually washing items as needed, drying clean dishes, and putting them away in the appropriate area for distribution to the Restaurant.Ensure kitchen safety by organizing soiled pots, pans, and dishes prior to loading them in to dishwasher, mopping and cleaning spills, and placing caution signs on wet floors andin hazardous areas according to established procedures. Dry glasses before stacking them, to avoid water spots.Maintain sanitary kitchen and orderly dumpster area by cleaning counters, floors, shelves, walls, ceilings and equipment, sweeping and mopping floors, emptying trash cans, breaking down boxes, clearing alley and dumpster area, and disposing of trash according to established procedures.Ensure a clean and orderly storage area by arranging and straightening food products and equipment, wiping shelves and counters, disposing of empty cartons, boxes and trash, and sweeping and mopping storage area floors.Ensure chemicals, equipment, and supply costs are within established guidelines by regulating the amounts of chemicals and supplies used, minimizing waste of product, and notifying food service management of needed repairs on defective or damaged machinery and/or equipment.Follow safe California Food Handlers guidelines.Report unsafe practices or hazardous conditions to the CSM, Security, Restaurant General Manager or General Manager.Attend annual BSA/AML training, as scheduled.Report to CSM or Security any individuals in the casino who appear to be underage, intoxicated, whose conduct appears to be illegal, or who poses a threat to the Company's operations.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of guests or team members of organization.Mathematical Skills: Basic math skills. Ability to accurately calculate addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in an efficient manner.Reasoning Ability: The ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
