Kitchen Porter – Hawksmoor Chicago

Chicago is the historical powerhouse of American beef, and Hawksmoor is excited to bring its renowned dining experience to this vibrant city. We have found a stunning location in the LaSalle Street Cable Car Powerhouse, a designated landmark opened in 1887, and we are committed to restoring and revitalizing this historic space.

Reporting to the Executive Chef, we are seeking a dedicated Dishwasher to join our team and help us open our second international restaurant in Chicago.

Key responsibilities include:

• Operate and maintain the dishwashing machine and supplies
• Wash, sanitize, and dry all kitchen utensils and equipment
• Use and operate all necessary tools and equipment safely
• Communicate effectively with team members and management
• Work efficiently under pressure, multitasking as needed
• Work in a busy environment with variable noise and temperature
• Lift up to 50 pounds safely and frequently move items weighing up to 25 pounds
• Stand and walk throughout the shift, navigating stairs and uneven surfaces
• Follow health and safety protocols
• Maintain and clean kitchen equipment
• Assist with setup and breakdown of kitchen areas
• Handle chemicals and cleaning supplies responsibly
