Homegrown Hospitality Group is hiring a Dishwasher in Charleston, SC to maintain a clean, safe, and presentable kitchen environment throughout each shift. You’ll focus on small wares and essential equipment, with some responsibilities overlapping other kitchen roles.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 years.
• Prior kitchen or dishwasher experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain back-of-house cleanliness, storage, walk-in cooler areas, and exterior garbage area.
• Handle chemicals and cleaning utensils safely in accordance with state regulations.
• Follow use and disposal guidelines for chemicals; keep floors and signage compliant.
• Manage trash areas during prep hours and keep storage areas clean and pest-free.
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and small wares; operate a dish machine correctly.
• Support line cooks and prep staff as needed.
• Maintain sanitized and orderly work areas per health and safety rules.

The Homegrown Hospitality Group is looking for a Dishwasher withto create a unique and personal experience for Homegrown Hospitality Group’s Guests by maintaining a clean, safe and presentable restaurant for all guests and employees throughout each shift, each day. This role will focus their attention on the cleanliness of the small wares and essential equipment in the kitchen with some responsibilities crossing over with other kitchen positions.

The Homegrown Hospitality Group consists of 9 different business concepts and over 15 locations located throughout South Carolina in Charleston, Columbia, and Myrtle Beach. Multiple concepts, multiple locations, one big family!

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Helps maintain cleanliness in the back of house, storage and walk in cooler areas, as well as help maintain the overall maintenance and cleanliness of the external garbage area in conjunction with other essential kitchen staff
• Practices the safe handling and storage of products, cleaning utensils and chemicals in accordance to state law and creates an environment safe and hazard free
• Follows instructions in accordance to use of chemicals and their disposal, equipment and use of wet floor signs at all times
• Helps maintain all garbage inside and outside of the restaurant during prep hours by changing out the on a regular basis when full, and keeps area where garbage is stored clean and free of pests
• Helps clean and maintain all equipment and small wares used in the kitchen
• Can operate a dish machine, understands how to measure sanitizer and soap levels in a three-bay sink and handles each piece of equipment and small wares safely and properly while washing and storing
• Supports Line Cooks and prep cooks when needed as back up
• Maintains work areas in a sanitized and orderly manner in compliance with state health and safety regulations

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 18 years of age
• Prior experience working in a kitchen or as a dishwasher preferred
• Ability to follow specific time-sensitive guidelines whiles at the same time engaging with line cooks, dishwashers and other essential kitchen team members
• Ability to maintain a high degree of pace and intensity for an extended period of time
• Must be reliable and dependable by adhering to a schedule, covering shifts as necessary, and being on time for scheduled shifts
• Interaction:
