Job summary

Atma Hotel Group is seeking a Dishwasher to support our kitchen team in a fast-paced hotel environment in Chapel Hill. You will transport and clean utensils, assist with stock and ensure a safe, organized dish area.

The role requires standing long hours, lifting up to 40 pounds, and flexible availability including weekends and holidays. Experience is not required, but a professional appearance and friendly guest interaction are valued.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to push/pull, lift up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Able to speak basic English.
• Willing to work flexible hours to include weekends, holidays and late nights.
• Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
• Able to multitask and work in a fast paced environment.
• Must have a passion for providing “excellent” customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dish area at all times.
• Keep all dishware, silverware and glassware clean and properly stocked in appropriate racks/containers.
• Clean pots and pans used by culinary staff and store all items in their respective areas.
• Must be proficient in proper operation of equipment/dish machines including proper detergents and water temperatures.
• Empty trash cans when needed.
• Keep all floors in kitchen area clean and dry. Ensure that wet floor signs are visible when necessary.
• Polish silver prior to placing in respective areas.
• Inform the Executive Chef of any chemicals that need to be ordered.
• Complete shift checklists.
• Perform all other functions as directed by Executive Chef.
