Job summary

Brevard College Dining Services on the campus in Brevard, NC is hiring a full-time dishwashing associate to support daily food service operations. You will wash wares, stock stations, and help with cleaning to maintain safe, sanitary dining areas.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 60 pounds, work holidays and weekends, and follow health and safety guidelines; ServSafe certification is preferred or obtainable within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Washes all wares including pots, pans, flatware, and glasses, by hand or using dishwashers.
• Correctly places and stores clean equipment, dishes, and utensils in assigned storage areas.
• Stocks serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, and other assigned areas with necessary dishes and utensils.
• Cleans trash receptacles with water or steam.
• Moves dishwashing supplies and equipment from storage to work area by hand or using hand trucks.
• May assist in cleaning and preparing various foods for cooking and/or serving, as directed.
• Ensures work areas remain safe, clean, and orderly, adhering to all company, local, and state guidelines regarding health, safety, and sanitation.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Description

Brevard College Dining services provides campus-wide food services to students, faculty, and staff on the Brevard College campus and catering events on and off campus. The college serves 600+ residential students with the meal program. The department employs approximately 35 full/part-time and student employees. Must be able to work holidays/weekends/evenings.
