Flour Bakery Beacon Hill on Cambridge Street, Cambridge MA, is seeking a Dishwasher/Steward to support a busy kitchen. This position can be full-time or part-time and reports to the Kitchen Manager and FOH Manager. The role ensures clean, organized equipment and manages trash, recycling and compost with routine kitchen rounds.

The starting wage is $17 per hour with a current pay range of $17 - $21.86, and the team emphasizes growth, training, and excellent hospitality.

Qualifikationen

• Must have scheduling availability to work at least 3 shifts/20 hours per week and at least one weekend shift.
• Ability to stand for long periods, walk, push, pull, reach, and lift < 50 lbs.
• Ability to operate equipment such as a dishwasher, and cleaning tools.
• Must be able to maintain grooming and uniform standards.
• Excellent sense of urgency and hospitality.
• Ability to recognize when and where further cleaning up to our standards; take feedback; work as a team.

Dishwasher - Flour Bakery Beacon Hill - 209 Cambridge Street, Cambridge MA

If so, we have the opportunity for you! Flour Bakery + Cafe is looking for a full time and/or part time Dishwasher/Steward for one of our busy locations!

The current position openings require the schedule of: Mon-Wed, Fri 3- close (usually around 9pm), and Sat 2-close (usually around 8pm).

The Dishwasher/ Steward directly reports to the Kitchen Manager as well as the FOH Manager. The Dishwasher/ Steward’s responsibility is to make sure our teams have clean and organized equipment and tools they need to process our recipes, as well as managing the clean up of trash, recycling, and compost by doing occasional rounds of the kitchen.

Day-to-Day Performance Expectations:

• Cleaning of all equipment and facilities, including but not limited to floors, walls, wash closet, dish machine, three bay sinks, and break areas
• Proper sanitization of all kitchen equipment and utensils
• Removal of all trash, compost, and recycling, keeping these containers and the surrounding areas clean and tidy too.

Work Environment:

• Must be able to work in an environment with loud noises and machinery.
• Must be able to work around various aromas and fluctuating temperatures
• We do our best not to cross-contaminate anything containing gluten. However, there may be gluten in the air at times. We do our best to accommodate any staff allergy requests.

We ask for a minimum commitment of one year. Unfortunately, we do not offer seasonal or temporary work.

Compensation:

The starting wage for this position is $17 per hour, with a current pay range of $17 - $21.86.
